Resumo: dc.description.abstractThis academic document presents a study, about a comparison between some characteristics and properties, in the state fresh and the hardened of concrete: the first sample, is common concrete to be the reference, the second sample is the concrete reinforced with polypropylene fibers, and the last sample, is the concrete contains steel fibers. Some time ago, were discovered new technological possibilities with concrete added with fibers. Some fibers added to concrete, can minimize the breakable behavior of concrete, others fibers, have the singular capacity to combat certain kinds of pathology, that could degrade concrete structures in general. The concrete have different behaviors, due to the characteristics of the fibers and their interaction with mass concrete. In some cases, the concrete reinforced with fiber, has technological advantages compared to concrete without fibers. In the experimental part of this research, were involved tests able to indicate an evaluation of the characteristics and properties that fiber can provide. Was used test as "loss abatement" by slump test, axial compression, indirect tension by compression and diametrical absorption.pt_BR
