Resumo: dc.description.abstractThis study aimed at evaluating the capability of the processes of Fenton and photo-Fenton for the removal of color from effluents originated from dyeing hair, come from salons, as these places are not any treatment for the effluents are released into the environment. As the basis of studies, we used the yellow dye nylosan to determine the optimal assay conditions for Fenton and photo-Fenton for both hydrogen peroxide as iron, through a 22 full factorial design. The condition with minimum concentrations of reagent, with 5 mg L-1 of Fe+2 and 50 mg L-1 of H2O2, showed a removal efficiency of 60.93% at the end of the process of Fenton, is the most efficient for process. For the photo-Fenton process, is obtained under conditions of intermediate experiment with 10 mg L-1 of Fe+2 and 75 mg L-1 of H2O2, removal of 95.01% showing the most efficient condition. Degradations performed in aqueous samples hair coloring demonstrated strong interference from other constituents of the formulation of the dye. Degradation performed with crude sample showed low contribution of Fenton, since that was low in color depth and high absorption region in UV-Vis spectrum attributed to short chain carboxylic acids, suggesting that the sample was already degraded probably due to the presence large quantities of peroxide in the sample.pt_BR
