Resumo: dc.description.abstractThrough a differentiated methodology, the project on Agroecology in school nutrition Promoting a healthy lifestyle, works in practice the harmful effects of the use of pesticides on the plant itself and also human beings and consumers in General. Students combine their "baggage" of accumulated knowledge that depict their social practice, the scientific knowledge brought by the teacher in the school garden, which serves as a living laboratory, since the soil management, preparation of construction sites, production of seedlings (heirloom seeds from), heirloom seed bank, planting, irrigation, biological pest control, composting with the remnants of his own packed lunch, in addition to contributing in the preparation of the revenue and take full advantage of the food. In this way, students can better understand noting that from a practice of ecological planting, it is possible to decrease the waste (sustainability), caring for the soil, preserving biodiversity, reducing costs and producing food with a high nutritional value. The big challenge, in fact, is changing the model of education present in the field. The field school does not prepare children for the urban world and not to the world of the field (with its different cultural expressions, to organize life, coexistence), but rather to be subservient to the logic of capitalism. Valuing local culture and the individual person who acts within this social context so devalued by society. The main function of the teacher, by teaching science and environmental education, is to act as agent transformer and trainer of opinions, redefines concepts, so that students, future citizens, can positively influence in society, in favour of achieving a quality of life more worthy and healthy so that you can offer, with the passing of years, each time better conditions of life to all human beings.pt_BR
