Resumo: dc.description.abstractA Studying carried out in Barra Bonita-SP and in Jaú-SP, justified by the importance of approaching the theoretical knowledge of the practical knowledge held in the discipline of Sciences, reducing the large gap that exists and contribute to the formation of concerned citizens. In the presence of the current reality of water scarcity for humanity, it is essential to raise awareness among young people through an experienced science in practice, of the importance of this resource in our lives. This study aimed to analyse the rate of assimilation on key water issues studied in the discipline of Science with 6th grade students of an elementary state school. With a theoretical and practical explanation in the classroom and later a technical visit to a Treatment Water Station with this experience, it was noticed that the teaching of Science can have a better performance using the theorical and practical methodology with broaches of everyday life situations by highlighting the importance of the role of teacher in a constant reflection on his teaching this way he can develop diversified and effective strategies of teaching- learning process, taking on the role of mediator of knowledge and a formative influence on citizens.pt_BR
