Resumo: dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to investigate whether Paulo Freire's liberating education with emphasis on dialogical categories questioning and, guided in activities related to the subject for Science Education from Early Childhood Education enable the child to observe, experiment, reflect on the facts that emerge from their daily lives provide them conditions to do implementation of common sense to scientific knowledge. And if it really is possible, how this action can contribute for the man realize himself as completion as a historical responsible for the transformation of society. To observe and analyze this problem, besides the literature about Paulo Freire´s assumptions and other authors who comment about the subject, it was proposed to build a terrarium with the students. So from the daily interaction and observation performed by the students and teacher, was generated data from exploratory research. So, it was concluded that the pedagogical work that has as starting point the students' prior knowledge, through activities that allow them to observe and experience providing moments of collective reflection, exchange of knowledge among all those involved in the learning process, mediated by a methodology based on dialogue and questioning, provides students the conditions for the building of necessary tools for the total exercise of citizenship, among, the minimum basic training in science is required.pt_BR
