Abstract

This work had the thematic analysis of the quality of water sampled in points from the shells of 15 Colleges of the city of Foz do Iguaçu. The water can get in good conditions for consumption at the colleges, residences, industries, shops, hospitals and so forth. , but if it is poorly stored it can be contaminated and may become source of transmission of diseases. That is why the cleanness of water must be periodic and the constructions of the same shall comply with certain criteria, such as, do not allow access to animals (rats, pigeons, cockroaches and so forth.) which may be harmful to human health. The greatest concern that led to the development of this work was not questioning the quality of the water supplied by SANEPAR, but yes, the packaging of the water after it arrives in the establishments that were carried out the collections, or in the colleges. The poor storage in water tanks, tanks and distribution networks to the exit on taps, where they are used by consumers if they are not carried out regular cleaning can lead to contamination even good quality water. In view of the fact that the college is the place where the student spends most of its time, and very important to establish a monitoring and monitoring the quality of water supplied and promote guidelines for improving the appearance of public health in relation to water consumption. The results obtained with this research allowed us to assess the microbiological quality of water intended for human consumption in these colleges.
