Resumo: dc.description.abstractRainfall for being a discontinuous phenomenon, is highly variable in time and space, eventually becomes necessary to understand its distribution and variability, so it is essential to analyze both dynamic factors, atmospheric systems, the static factors, relief for better understand the prevailing weather patterns and their changes throughout the series analyzed.The main objective of this study is make an analyze temporal and spatial variability of rainfall in the river basin Pirapó in PR in the scale daily, monthly, seasonal, annual and interannual with aim to detect the predominant patterns of rainfall distribution exists. Therefore we used data monthly rainfall of 8 rain gauges the period 1976-2010, data obtained from these INSTITUTE WATERS PARANÁ - Hydrological Information System - SIH. The basin has an area of 5.067km2 and is located in the northern state of Paraná. Held step of choosing jobs and standardization and data correction applied to descriptive statistics for all scales of analysis. Later through the methodology proposed by Monteiro (1976) was performed to select the "standard year". Was applied to cluster analysis aimed to delineate the regions that present similarity in rainfall pattern enabling a detailed analysis of each portion of the basin. The average annual rainfall in the study area is 1500mm, and the mouth of the basin has the lowest values below 1300mm and 1600mm above amount values. Found that the years 1980, 1983, 1997, 1998 and 2009 were considered rainy pattern and the years 1978, 1984, 1985, 1988 and 2008 with standard dry. Regarding cluster analysis, three groups were generated group 1 northern portion of the basin, with values 1386mm, group 2 with southwestern portion 1531mm group and 3 in the southern and southeast by 1595mm. The results also showed significant effect of the factor values orographic rainfall in the basin.pt_BR
