Resumo: dc.description.abstractThis study evaluates the efficiency of a constructed wetland system, aiming at removing nitrogen and phosphorus and time reduction of these compounds using macrophyte Pontederia parviflora Alexander, treating the raw sewage and UASB post. The analysis was divided into two phases, the first was to verify the removal efficiency of the analyzed parameters treating raw sewage and UASB post in the months of May and September 2012 with the hydraulic detention time of 48 hours, and the second phase was designed to calculate the kinetic constant, to check the time of removal of the compounds present in raw sewage and UASB post in the months of November and December 2012, with the hydraulic detention time of 12 hours. Tests have also been made to analyze the reduction of microorganisms in the system.The pilot was mounted UTFPR-cm, beside Block C, consisting of two boxes of water 100L, box A and box B, where the box was receiving sewage from the UASB and box B raw sewage from the box passing the raw sewage in the next block, the filter medium had boxes which were 30cm 15cm coarse sand and crushed stone macrophytes number 3 and planted on top of these filter average.In the analysis we observed a good removal efficiency of phosphorus after treating the raw sewage in UASB and two months and for solids, an efficiency of 99%.By calculating the kinetics, the time of removal of the total concentration of the parameters was analyzed and the results were satisfactory, particularly for the two months phosphorus.In the analysis microbiology, efficiency was 95%, showing that the system can eliminate pathogenic organisms. The study also showed that the macrophytes alone can’t eliminate the need for compounds and with a treatment such as UASB.pt_BR
