Resumo: dc.description.abstractSupermarket retail is a very important part of commerce and an imperative service in millions of Brazilian`s routine. In this kind of enterprise, there are many activities been executed at the same time – office work, checkout operation, butchery, bakery, kitchen, delivery, etc – each one evolving different work environment needs. The goal of this work is to analyze the ergonomic demand of the workers from a supermarket and measure temperature and luminance at the supermarket environment, comparing both results.To that end, we adapted a survey that which includes questions related to body pain and problems in the physical work environment, and applied to workers of all activities inside the supermarket. Were performed measurements of temperature and illuminance on the sales floor and on specific workplaces to check if any of them would be unsanitary or would need environment changes. Were also raised other aspects of workplace safety. After completion of the work, it could be concluded that 91.67% of workers complain of leg pains, 83.33% complain of high temperatures and 33.33% of pain in the right forearm. In addition, measurements showed that the entire enterprise requires illuminance adjustments and that there was no temperature point above the limits of NR-15. It needs more studies on the causes of pain, application of environment solutions to stabilize the temperature and increased illuminance values to ensure that values achieve the required by law and to ensure work environment not to became unhealthy.pt_BR
