Resumo: dc.description.abstractThere is great competition in the competitive market, every day is necessary to find alternatives for the organization to obtain a differential The objective of this study is to find tools that can help organizations accelerate innovation processes and apply these tools in an organization to meet the same level of innovation. From exploratory research and content analysis were found two tools to generate innovation in organizations questioned and analyzed company. The tools were found Octagon Innovation and Value Chain Innovation. Each has similar goals, but differ by steps. The tool Octagon Innovation has eight steps, which starts by getting to know whether the organization has a strategy for innovation and has the final step is the Funding for Innovation, which seeks to understand how innovation initiatives are funded in the organization. The tool Value Chain Innovation has four stages, which are: the idealization, the conceptualization, experimentation and implementation as the final step. With the conclusion, found that the two tools can greatly aid in the generation of innovation, help find ideas, identify market opportunities, then help you analyze and evaluate the ideas found. This will make when a new idea is found, the tools will help determine whether they can actually become an innovation. And after the tool applied Octagon Innovation in the organization a notice that it still is in the initial level of innovation, need to be further worked on several aspects that can be helped by Octagon Innovation.pt_BR
