Resumo: dc.description.abstractThis work consists on the project and execution of a three-phase load for testing electrolytic power generators using the principle of electrolysis. The main justification for creating such a load is able to simulate actual operating conditions for equipment for the generation of electricity by controlling the current and therefore the power to be dissipated in the load. This project aims to develop a three-phase load that can be adjusted easily and reliably making possible its use in testing equipment to generate electricity. For the creation of load the system makes use of aqueous sodium chloride, which has the property of conducting electrical current. This solution is packaged in a container nonconductive which in turn is located within a structure which supports the whole system. The system consists basically the aforementioned container and copper electrodes that upon reaching aqueous give rise to electric current and hence the electrical charge. There are many factors that can influence the load current, among which stands out the change of the contact area between electrode and solution. The variation of the contact area between the electrodes and the solution is made by using a system that controls the depth of the electrodes in the electrolyte solution. This system when actuated causes the electrodes to be inserted or removed from the electrolyte solution resulting in a higher or lower current in the load. The linear behavior of the load depends on the depth of the electrodes is kept at constant temperature of the solution, low cost manufacturing, as well as the high potential of electricity consumption and therefore electrical power, appear as prominent factors for use of electrolytic load testing equipment generating electricity.pt_BR
