Resumo: dc.description.abstractEnvironment preservation attitudes, aiming the sustainable development are the more in evidence at an organizational ambient, on account of the increasing demand on the natural resources consume. This way, the development of studies of alternatives for the conservation of hydro resources like, for example, the use of Pluvial Water Improvement System – PWIS became indispensable by the industrial sector. Therefore the objective of this research was assessing the viability of the use of the Pluvial Water Improvement System to different industrial sectors of the Western of Paraná. Due to it, the consumed water volume and the volume of the water caught through the roof of the industrial installations of the region were estimated, it was also dimensioned the reservoir capacity according to the Rippl and Azevedo Neto methods and the efficiency for each analyzed case was estimated: Bird slaughtering, Pork slaughtering and dairy products. At the end of this research, it was concluded that the use of pluvial water for the bird and pork slaughtering industries haven’t seemed to be a viable alternative according to a technical opinion, providing that the maximum volume caught through the roof would not be enough to attend all the replaceable volume, because the volume able to be gotten at the bird and pork freezer represents 0.85% and 5.8% of the total volume respectively consumed. However, to the dairy products’ case, this option seemed to be fairly attractive, because the quantity of substituted water varies from 12% to 28% about the total water volume consumed at these industries, depending of the capacity of processing of raw material. In relation to the system dimensioning, it was concluded that the most appropriated method was the Azevedo Neto due to present about half of volume with an efficiency of the most 10% less than the ones found with the Rippl method.pt_BR
