Resumo: dc.description.abstractA pertinent question regarding teaching writing is the authorship. In other words, providing students the property of learning to position themselves in discursive situations, assuming themselves, as far as possible, as socially responsible for their own statements is a role of the school. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the subject-author constitution in texts of opinative genres from high school students, trying to understand how the students express (or fail to express) their subjectivity in their textual productions. Therefore, theoretical proposals about the creation of identity through language are investigated and it is assessed whether the high school student can draw on linguistic organization in order to position himself/herself as an ideological subject upon his/her discursive production. For this purpose, Bakhtin ([1979] 2000), Bakhtin/Volochínov ([1929] 2010) and Possenti (1993) are named as theoretical foundation. The corpus for data analysis consists in texts collected in public schools in two steps: the first text from a free activity made by the class teacher and the second from a didactic sequence administered by the researcher. The results show, in general, a subject-author with some awareness of discursive genre, but still inchoate and somewhat evident.pt_BR
