Resumo: dc.description.abstractThe search for a culture of quality has been the companies most frequent preoccupation, which has guided theirs organizations objectives. The aim of this research has the purpose to bring forward the 5S Program implantation in a Chewing Food Industry for Animals. The 5S Program looks forward to actions against eventual loss and waste in enterprises and industries, in order to bring up instructions to the collaborators directly involved with the activities so that to improve and to maintain the quality system. We detailed how the the 5S program application can also improve the collaborators life quality, offering them more satisfaction and this way aiming to a better quality of products as well as services. First of all we had to detect what kind of improvements were necessary in each company department and only then we were able to suggest phases to implement the project. The identification of the improvements was made through periodic observations in each department for identifying critical points so that to follow the Normative nº 4/2007 Instruction of MAPA – Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, through the 5S instruments. We hope that the implementation of the 5S Project provides efficiency to the enterprise as a consequence of the accessibility to materials, diminishing the errors as a result of the ambient disorganization, increasing the collaborators life quality and improving the quality due to the work ambient cleanliness and correct storage of the raw materials.pt_BR
