Resumo: dc.description.abstractIn the frenetic search for higher returns, athletes and sportsmen have adhered to the use of sports drinks, which in recent years have had a significant increase in consumption. The characteristics of this type of drink we highlight the speed of absorption of electrolytes through the bloodstream, ensuring an adequate replacement and healthy for the body during prolonged physical activity, which are lost through sweat. In this context, this study aimed to comparatively evaluate sports drinks and hydrotonics. Samples (XX) of different brands in the citrus flavors, orange, grapefruit and lemon were purchased in local shops and subjected to physico-chemical (pH, acidity molar percent, color, ˚ Brix, vitamin C and citric acid content) according to the methodology described by IAL (1985). The resulting data is presented in by accordance with the relevant Technical Regulations applicable in the country. The orange flavor was evaluated in the sensory attributes of color, aroma and flavor through Hedonic 9-point scale (1 - dislike extremely to 9 - like extremely) to check the brand preference and taste the consumer. The sample P resulted in greater acceptance in all aspects obtaining value greater than 7.0. When reading labels and isotonic drinks like hidrotônica is necessary to understand the differences. These drinks provide hydration and nutritional replenishment.pt_BR
