Resumo: dc.description.abstractThe aim of this work was to study the efficiency of production of Africanized queens depending on the acceptance of larvae, and emergence of queens in the same weight of generations of selection for weight at emergence, held in a breeding program. Were selected by means of genetic values, queens for weight to the emergence of four generations of September 2010 to April 2011. The production process consisted of the queens in the transfer of larvae standardized to 24 hours of life, acrylic cup, and then determined the efficiency of the process by efficiently transferred larvae acceptance, the efficiency of emergency queens and overall efficiency the process. The efficiencies were submitted to regression analysis in terms of generation and weight to the emergency. The average weights found for the first generation (201.5 mg), second generation (205.2 mg), third generation (209.0 mg), and fourth generation (212.7 mg), showed that over the generations was in fact an increase in the average weight of the queens. When the efficiencies of the process were subjected to analysis as a function of average weight, the results of correlation coefficients were low, indicating that the weight is not reflecting the emergence of greater or lesser efficiency.pt_BR
