Resumo: dc.description.abstractThis work aimed to show simple praticals of low cost with alternative materials, for the teaching of Chemistry during High School, based on the elaboration of a book of experiments used by studentes of the First Year of High School. It also intends to promote thoughts development and an instinct of researching, calling for students attention and making them able to associate daily problems with what was seen inside the classroom. This work was developed with the creation and application of a book of experiments to the students of First Year of night High School. It was essencial to verify the importance of applying, in the current educational process, alternative methods and educational resources, beyond laboratorial practices with alternative experiments as a way of motivating students interest about Chemistry classes and improving the comprehension of contents to reach a concrete learning. This work has stimulated students to work in group, interpreting and discussing about what happened on each experiment. The teacher who uses alternative methods is contributing with the students so they can observe the importance of the subject, starting the interest and motivating to a more significant learning.pt_BR
