Resumo: dc.description.abstractThe new world scenario, marked by globalization is affecting all types of businesses in various sectors, the organizations requiring high level of qualification, constant updating, searching for solutions ever more rapidly, accurately and efficiently and develop competitive advantages. Reality in the furniture industry is no different. The industry is growing every day and competition drives companies to constantly improve the level of products and services offered. In this environment, information is a key factor of differentiation, survival and prosperity for organizations.The furniture industry is characterized by the grouping of multiple production processes, involving different materials and a variety of end products, reinforcing the importance of dissemination of information within the factory, so you can achieve with the development of efficient processes production. Information flows need to be reliable in order to contribute to a better quality of decisions.To this must occur in the information clearly and directly involving all levels of the organization (from strategic to operational - involving vertical and horizontal planning).Therefore, this study was to examine the route of the information within the industry under study, identifying all those involved in the process of information flow, information flow correlating with the planning and production control at all hierarchical levels and finally we prepared an information flow diagram (DFI), identifying the reasons for possible failures in the flow of information throughout the organization. For this analysis were conducted in direct applications, structured questionnaires and semi-structured, which were prepared based on hierarchical planning divisions of the organization and analysis of documents, through this analysis it was possible to have a contact with the information circulating on the formal company, through product design, demand, quality control, inventory control, among others. Based on this methodology, emerged the proposal of a new flow of information that qualifies the decision-making and reduce the interference between the levels of the organization. A structured flow of information is essential for information to flow to the correct destination, supporting decision making, enabling learning and knowledge generation.pt_BR
