Descrição: dc.descriptionConventional root canal therapy still does not allow for the complete functional restoration of the dentin-pulp complex after damage suffered as a result of trauma, anomalies and infectious processes. Alternative endodontic procedures carried out in the field of Regenerative Endodontics have become good treatment options in many cases, as they provide for the proliferation and differentiation of healthy dental tissue. This technique is based on three principles of tissue engineering: the release of signaling molecules, the proliferation of stem cells and a threedimensional support, with root canal disinfection being one of the pillars for the proper development of the approach. The studies carried out and the protocols developed try to achieve the ideal scenario for pulp regeneration. This chapter will take a general look at tissue engineering and its involvement in the pulp regeneration process, focusing on the biological triad that enables the technologies, especially the threedimensional support also known as scaffolds.-
