Descrição: dc.descriptionEducation and Brazilian society have been experiencing dark moments which put democracy and freedom at risk, being an opportune moment to revisit and reflect on the concepts and meanings that make up the book Pedagogia da Esperanca by Paulo Freire. Through documentary research that analyzes textual configuration, the treatment of the data was on speeches pronounced in different ways like written, oral, images, and gestures that aims to analyze the book understanding as part of an innovative, bold, courageous discourse in which its study raises questions. Can one reaffirm the struggle climbed by the teacher to understand oneself and the student? Is it up to the teacher to lead the student to a critical reflection about emancipation and freedom of thought? Paulo Freire left a legacy in that book possible based on interdiction, liberty, and hope. For changes, a popular passion, lucid leadership, and a historical moment are necessary to make a social revolution.-
