Descrição: dc.descriptionThe increasing technological advance of the last decades has brought new concepts of work, increasing the service performed in front of machines and computers, in the sitting posture, and consequently, increasing the incidence of sedentarism, putting at risk the health of the individuals who maintain the same posture for long periods. Along with this advance, new proportions are taking place regarding the production and construction of products and projects, which has been reframed through the facilities and qualities brought by rapid prototyping. Based on this problem regarding the maintenance of sitting posture, and the positive perspectives brought by 3D printing, the present work sought to find ways to minimize the negative aspects through the possibilities and studies of multidisciplinary ergonomic design, identifying the characteristics of the context and seeking solutions in project. With this, an active movement footrest was developed to improve the salutary aspects of the lower limbs of individuals who remain in a sitting posture. This understanding was given by the usability evaluation carried out through the users' experience, in order to find positive characteristics to be replicated and negative ones to be discarded. After product development through rapid prototyping, its effectiveness in relation to improvements in lower limb volumetry was evaluated, with an n = 60, with 30 lower limbs in the control group, which did not perform active movement, and 30 limbs in the intervention group, who performed active movement with the prototype. It was possible to observe the difference between volumetry, stating that the use of the prototype generated an improvement in the blood flow of the lower limbs in relation to the baseline value.-
