Descrição: dc.descriptionIntroduction: Verrucous carcinoma of the penis is a distinct form of epidermoid carcinoma presenting distinct behavior and biological morphology. It rarely metastasizes and presents insidious growth. The treatment is usually surgical, carrying great morbidity. Case Report: We present a case of a 55-year-old patient with verrucous carcinoma obstructing the urethral meatus and extending all over the glans penis. This patient was conservatively treated with laser. Tumor analysis by the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique showed human papillomavirus (HPV) type-11. The patient was submitted to two procedures, the first using nd-YAG laser and the second with laser KTP 3 months later. Total energy was 10341 joules. After a two-year follow-up the patient showed no tumor evidence with normal voiding and preserved sexual function. Discussion: The conservative treatment with laser in verrucous carcinoma demonstrated low morbidity, good cosmetic result and neoplasia control. It should be considered as a therapeutic option in some selected cases of this disease.-
