Descrição: dc.descriptionIntroduction: The blood parameters of domestic and wild animals change according to both the environmental characteristics of their habitat regions in which they are found and the individual characteristics such as sex, species and age. Aims: to estimate the hematological, biochemical and serum proteinogram parameters for use as physiological reference values of Aloautta caraya primates kept in captivity. Methods: Blood was collected from 27 Alouatta caraya primates in captivity under anesthesia for blood count, blood biochemistry and protein electrophoresis. The values obtained were presented as means and standard deviation and compared using a Tukey test. A level of significance of 5% was established. Results: Significant differences were observed in relation to the total white blood cell count of this primate population compared to free-living animals. Conclusions: The stress suffered at the time of immobilization of the animals influenced the erythrogram and total white blood cell count compared to animals in free life. This study provides reference values for Alouatta caraya primates in captivity.-
