Resumo: dc.description.abstractIn 2020, Brazil secured 1st place in the ranking of murders of trans people in the world, with figures that remained above average. This year, "we found news of 184 records that were included in the 2020 Murder Map". OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to analyze the challenges faced by the nursing team in promoting health for the transgender population in public health services, based on the experiences of transgender people. METHODOLOGY: This is an Integrative Literature Review with a qualitative approach. RESULTS: Cross-referencing the descriptors resulted in 265 articles in LILACS and 385 articles in SCIELO. Of the 650 articles found, 397 did not answer the study's guiding question, and 189 met the exclusion criteria. Of the remaining 64, 42 did not meet the inclusion criteria for this study, leaving a total of 22 articles for contextualization. FINAL CONSIDERATION: According to the articles analyzed, transsexual people have faced damaging levels of family rejection, mostly from an early age, since this rejection ends up having a negative impact on each individual, thus contributing to their removal from essential social spaces, not to mention causing increased difficulties in accessing and continuing their schooling.pt_BR
