Resumo: dc.description.abstractEndometriosis is characterized by the presence of endometrial glands outside the uterine cavity, affecting around 10-20% of women of reproductive age. Among its sites, the cutaneous surface accounts for 1% of cases, with the umbilical scar being the most common site. This paper presents a 47-year-old female patient with a palpable, hardened lesion in the umbilical region and a history of cyclical local bleeding, who was suspected of having umbilical endometriosis. The differential diagnosis included simple inclusion cyst, granuloma and umbilical hernia. Surgical resection with omphaloplasty was performed without complications and the diagnostic hypothesis of endometrioma was confirmed by histopathological study of the specimen.pt_BR
