Resumo: dc.description.abstractThis article has Psychoanalysis as its theoretical-clinical foundation. In this sense, the center of their discussions is supervision in the training of the analyst. In view of this, we will analyze it, as one of the analyst's training devices, which with Freud was established as one of the training tripods, alongside personal analysis and theoretical study. Our interest is to reach the Lacanian position on what supervision consists of, reflecting both on its impasses, its conceptual precision, and the place it occupies in psychoanalytic institutions and in current times. In order to achieve this objective, we carried out a bibliographical review that situates supervision and contemplates a path from its beginnings, even before its institutionalization by the International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA), to the present day. It was amid splits and ruptures in relation to the model imposed by the IPA, that we highlighted Lacan's position on supervision, considering it as a super(audition). Lacan goes on to situate it as an effect of the analyst's desiring position, a concept that he points to as the direction of a didactic analysis, namely: the formation of an analyst. Therefore, supervision in a psychoanalytic clinic can only be thought of with the analyst's own analysis as the main route of training. It is with this point of reflection that we intend to reach, through contemporary authors, to spark the discussion around what we consider imposture in relation to the role of the analyst. With this work, we arrived at the impossibility of apprehending the knowledge involved in psychoanalysis through undergraduate courses, attempts that haunt the Brazilian scene. With this, we also believe we can contribute to studies on Psychoanalysis, including in the academic sphere, encouraging interest in the field through research and clinical work.pt_BR
