Resumo: dc.description.abstractAs the therapeutic possibility of cannabis gradually gains more emphasis on national and global media, the population begins to discuss the most openly. In addition to already recognized anticonvulsant properties, research demonstrate that cannabinoid agents present an important response on human social behavior [1] [2]. There is also a suggestion to improve the social communication and reduction of aggression [3] [4]. Because of this, the cannabinoid compounds appear as an expectation for the treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (TEA). This review intends to discuss changes in the endocannabinoid system in the central nervous system (CNS) of patients with ASD, as well as possible mechanisms therapeutic use of cannabinoid agents involved in the treatment of symptoms of the disorder, taking into account clinical trials or studies secondary studies that deal with the proposed topic. This work is organized as follows: in section 2, we present the methodology used and review planning, followed by section 3, in which We detail the execution. In section 4, we present a theoretical framework about of ASD diagnosis. Section 5 consists of summarizing the data followed by section 6, where we present a discussion based on the findings of this review. We close this work in section 7 with conclusions.pt_BR
