Resumo: dc.description.abstractThis article aims to show how the geogebra program contributed to the construction of a study manual for making matapi (a tool used in shrimp fishing), preserving the materials used by the rural community. This study took place during a continuing education course for teachers who teach in rural education in the municipality of Cametá in Pará, and included the participation of the community that produces and uses the matapi in their work practices. The research methodology is therefore qualitative, as there were reflections on the participants' speeches during the training meetings, which were fundamental to understanding the construction and use of matapis. The results showed that the matapis made using geogebra were efficient for catching shrimp, which led to the construction of a manual on how to make a Matapi using geogebra.pt_BR
