Resumo: dc.description.abstractObjective: To identify national scientific productions about Katharine Kolcaba's theoretical model in nursing publications. Method: Integrative review, with searches in the MEDLINE, LILACS and BDENF databases. Eight articles published up to 2016 were selected. Results: The findings were compiled into three thematic categories: theory of comfort and oncology; promotion of comfort in heart disease; nursing process and comfort theory. Conclusion: The theory is relevant and adequate in the planning of comfort promotion considering the individual aspects of each person. This study helps to expand knowledge on the subject and its applicability, in the sense of disseminating its use in the various lines of nursing care, with a view to valuing and seeking the comfort of patients.pt_BR
