Resumo: dc.description.abstractGoal: This study aimed to verify the factors that favor child malnutrition during hospitalization. Methods: An exploratory literature review study of a quantitative nature was carried out. Conclusion: Although the prevalence of child malnutrition has decreased, the percentage of hospital malnutrition among children remains high. There are numerous causes that contribute to this data. Therefore, nutritional assessment must be part of the routine care of these patients in order to identify children at nutritional risk in order to direct an appropriate nutritional intervention.
