Resumo: dc.description.abstractThe objective of this study was to report, through the literature, the possible benefits of the use of cannabidiol, to relate them with the sequelae caused by the Cerebral Vascular Accident, and to bring evidence that the use of the substance contributes to the improvement of the quality of life of the affected patients. , through an integrative literature review. Worldwide, stroke is the second determinant among deaths, especially in adults and the elderly. In recent years, in Brazil, the numbers of affected patients are worrisome, since they are presented figures that exceed 160,621 hospitalizations with a morbidity rate that exceeds 51.8%. Hemorrhagic stroke can cause victims numerous daily seizures due to ischemia of nerve cells and brain hemorrhage, as found in the literature. These seizures can decrease patients' quality of life because they happen constantly. Cannabidiol can reduce seizures, leading to more safety and quality of life in both adults and children who resisted treatment with standardized medications, more easily marketed in the Brazilian market. It is possible to conclude that there is still much to be studied in the context of Cannabidiol and health, respecting national laws and scientific concepts. Putting the subject on the agenda is essential, especially in a country where there are alarming numbers of stroke cases annually, leading to several deaths and drastically reducing the quality of life of countless people of both sexes and various age groups.pt_BR
