Resumo: dc.description.abstractThe main subject of this paper was" The developing of eating habits in adolescence. "Choosing this subject was due to the importance of healthy eating for human life, especially during adolescence. The general purpose of this study was to show the importance of healthy eating habits in this phase. To this end, it was sought support in theoretical approach. Another item discussed was about the identification of the research place, Ipe Roxo, a public school located in Foz do Iguaçu / PR. It was chosen to realize a field survey, descriptive, exploratory and participatory, in which, there was data collecting through interviews, objective and personal, performed with 32 students from the 8th grade of elementary school, about their daily eating habits and socioeconomic status. Checking the answers of the students it can be seen that a significant number of students have only 1 or 2 meals a day, this data is worrying, considering the orientation in the Food Pyramid. Another data inquired was consuming vegetables, fruits, legumes and milk, which showed positive results because many students reported consuming these products. It was verified that 67 % of the students interviewed consume food served by school, which are from organic farming, grown without the use of pesticides. In this research, besides several items, it was found that most of the student’s families belong to less privileged classes, around 80 % survive only with 1 or 2 minimum wages. Considering the per capita income, their saving is low, since most of the families live with 4-5 people in the same house. Another important fact is the percentage of students who do not consume any kind of food for breakfast, considered as high, in other words, 33%. It was observed that for dinner almost 60% of the students have soft drinks, which constitutes a worrying situation. The school attended by these students also offers guidelines on nutrition education, through lectures and inclusion of the subject content in school, therefore education plays an important role in the correct choice of food.pt_BR
