Resumo: dc.description.abstractThis work aims to develop a 3D model of lower limb that may assume, by insertion of numerical data, distinct anatomical forms , according to different biotypes. This process aims to improve the way health care system prosthetics are designed, currently still a handmade procedure. The basis of the analysis derives from data collected at the Paraná Association of Rehabilitation in Curitiba, which provided the necessary information for the development of the studies established in this project. Through the observation process, it was noticed that the time it takes for the patient to acquire this artifact, as well as aesthetics, are crucial for an individual to acquire this product. Dealing specifically with the prosthesis' cover, this is designed using polished foam according to the anatomical features of the patient and thereafter the prosthesis involved. The problem is that result may not be compared to the visual aspects of the patient's body, which influences the motivation to use such equipment. Thus, in order to prove the proposed methodology, which aims agility in the method of obtaining prosthetic covering, photography was used as a method for obtaining patient data. Pictures were taken in two views (front and side), using a checkered grid. We used people with differing anatomies, to prove that the generated model was able to acquire various forms. To test the feasibility of this method, after shaping, machining was performed by Computerized Numerical Control in order to compare the obtained results with the real limb. Thus, in a general context specific studies about anthropometry, assistive technology, and human anatomy studies were needed, focusing on understanding what a prosthetic is, how it is made, as well as the historical context that permeates its development. Another area explored is the amputation patient who needs this tool. Furthermore, it was investigated how the process of adapting to the new artifact is and what psycho- emotional impacts this individual carries. From this, we sought to understand from interviews with professionals who live with this reality, the experiences and, especially, to know and seek to enter the universe of the patient who needs to get around the prosthesis. These reports, along with the concepts of Design, helped deepen and base the studies developed in this project.pt_BR
